Take a journey through the ages as you step through the hallway and out onto the courtyard then beyond. Past the Kentish barns huddled around the 'great house' along a path to the edge of the rolling grounds (or for The Staddle Hut in the unlikely setting in the centre of the courtyard lawn) where you'll discover your own private hideaway. Open the door to reveal your haven. A place to revitalize your soul and feel closer to the earth. Leave behind the cold modern world but keep hold of the things that bring you comfort, warmth and indulgence.
Experience the ultimate in luxury tipi camping. Spend a while under canvas on the edge of the grounds of Wallett's Court with use of all the hotel and spa facilities overlooking an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Tipis are decpetively spacious (18 ft diameter) have Queen-sized beds with super-cosy (14 tog) Siberian Goose Down duvets with thick denim covers, genuine Lapland Reindeer Skins for extra warmth, extra blankets and goose down pillows. For the cooler months there's even an electric heated matress. As the night draws in there's even 'new-fangled' Electric lighting and an Outdoor Fire-pit.
Tipi interiors are designed and furnished by The White Cliffs Trading Co. Jack Wills University Outfitters & Lexington Concept Stores with wooden floors made from reclaimed driftwood.
For your convenience there is indoor toilet and wash basin facilities in the main house 120 metres away available from 9pm until 6.30am and showers and toilets 30 metres away in The spa from available from 6.30am until 9pm.

supply torches, wellington boots, extra blankets, firewood,
firelighters, matches, waterproof jackets and more camping gear on
request from the main reception - Please just ask if you've arrived a
little unprepared for staying in a tent.)
Staying in a Tipi - A word or two for the uninitiated... Staying
in a Tipi you will experience a closeness with Mother Nature not
experienced when staying in a hotel room. This will mean closer
encounters with the weather and wildlife. You may be kept awake by the
sound of the wind in the trees, rainfall or birdsong. You may be woken
up early as the sun rises or by foxes calling at dawn. Don't forget you
will be in a place that is attractive to 'little friends' seeking
shelter such as the odd bug or friendly spider. Tipis are not 100%
waterproof and in extremely rare weather events water will get
in. We do our level best to avoid this and there are systems in place
should this occur. If you're in doubt about staying in a tipi and don't
want to risk being disturbed in the night by weather and wildlife we
advise booking our Staddle Hut or a lovely warm, dry, quiet room in the hotel instead. Now,
don't say we didn't warn you... ;-)
The Staddle Hut
Named after the Stone "Mushrooms" on which the hut sits the Staddle Hut is a converted timber-framed grain store which now accommodates a double bed room and ensuite shower room with a mezzanine bed platform with a single bed. Like the tipis the interior is designed and furnished by The White Cliffs Trading Co. Jack Wills University Outfitters & Lexington Concept Stores.
In a quiet corner of the grounds is our recently refurbished Victorian Bathing Hut which accommodates a double bed. Like the tipis the interior is designed and furnished by The White Cliffs Trading Co. Jack Wills University Outfitters & Lexington Concept Stores.
